At SagePoint Institute we work with people to help make their lives better, not just tolerable. We help people enrich their lives through change, growth and healing. We assist people in changing anything that is getting the in the way of their success or feeling good and guide them into being the people they want to be. We offer individual, couples, group and family therapy to clients and training and consultation services to clinicians.
Our therapeutic approach in working with clients is to help them heal, promote clear thinking, and create a happy, healthy life. We realize that today the current trend in mental health is to focus on stabilization or management of symptoms through medication, we however, believe in change and recovery. That is not to say we don’t believe in the use of medication. It is to say that we only see medication as an adjunct to treatment, not the treatment itself, and only used when absolutely necessary.
In working with clients, we use a variety of approaches including Transactional Analysis, Redecision Therapy, Gestalt, Family Systems work, Developmental Psychology, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mind-Body Medicine and Energy Psychology approaches , including Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), and Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT).
Because of our experiences, training and education, we know people can change and can fully recover from depression, anxiety, marital and family problems, trauma and other mental health disorders or as we call it, “emotional distress”. If people are experiencing these problems, we believe there is a reason for that. We work with clients in a collaborative way to understand why they are experiencing the problems they are having and through the therapeutic process, help them resolve their problems, and create a life of energy, health and happiness.
For clinicians, we offer consultation and training for those who want to expand their range of therapeutic interventions, deepen their psychological knowledge and connect with other clinicians who want to grow and create change in their clients.
